about
I am a Midlands-born [copy]writer, poet and editor based in Amsterdam.
In 2022 I founded Body Electric, a curated night of music, poetry, and spoken word in Amsterdam.
As a copywriter, I’ve worked for a range of agencies across Europe, including Nomads, 180 Amsterdam and Superheroes, writing everything from medical device manuals and corporate white papers, to thought-leadership articles, voiceover scripts, and 10-foot high taglines.
I’ve written for The Independent, The Amsterdammer, STUCK Magazine, Voice Mag, and the activist artist zine, Cranberry Juice. Articles I’ve ghostwritten have appeared in ICON and shots.
As a spoken word artist, I’ve performed at events across the Netherlands, including Word Up, Soul Food Poetry, Tiny Terrace Concerts, Strange Birds Festival and The Poetry Brothel, and was interviewed about the state of poetry for Under the Albatross on Birdcage Radio.
My poetry has been published by New River Press, Ink, Sweat and Tears, The Missing Slate, The Kindling and Ramona, and an original monologue was performed on The Orange Theatre Company’s Monologue Podcast. I was twice shortlisted for the Avril Bruten Award and The Martin Starkie Poetry Prize.
I also write the newsletter notes from the netherlands, do the occasional bit of script editing and voiceover work – and am always down to grab a coffee.
